Artist Statement
"I can walk, but I have wings. I am meant to fly."
My work is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing diverse mediums such as drawings, paintings, installations, and video art. Through these, I explore the intricate interplay between human imagination and reality. I choose mediums for each project to create a visually immersive experience that challenges viewers’ perception and fosters cross-cultural dialogues and communications.
My focus on color, line, and form allows my imagination and vision to emerge from deep within my consciousness, connecting aspirations, being, the present, and the past, and dissolving into the limitless potential of expression.
By bridging history, ancient mythology, and realities, my work reconnects poetic truth sought in light after darkness. In all my dreams and realities, there is no longer a distinction between the two, except for the knowledge of their coexistence.
My work draws inspiration from both rich heritage and the present-day reality of challenges related to my living narrative in Egypt and the surrounding region and world reflecting upon our external and internal landscapes of being, using contemporary materials. This allows to envision different dimensions and perspectives, inviting contemplation of the space and time in which we exist.
