Memory of Now
This series is inspired by both Egyptian Mythology and influenced by daily life. The bulls were symbols of strength and fertility in ancient Egypt. In Addition, they acted as the mediator between the sky and human beings. The artist reflects on their meaning in an attempt to question the higher power of strength and grounding. This series was painted after three weeks residency in Luxor International Symposium of Painting organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. Wahby lived among the most famous temples of ancient Egypt, linking the past to present and reflected on ancient wisdom and daily beliefs.
